Nordstrom at International Plaza in Tampa; Time to shop for Spring !
I had to stop and snap some pictures while at Nordstrom in the International Plaza in Tampa, Florida. It’s been a cool winter in Florida and the colors of the clothing and accessories warmed the mood!
Alice + Olivia, Dior, BCBG, Prada to Grammy Awards. What a blast!
So we had to be ready for the Grammy Awards by 10:30 am. Get up and get ready to go! My Alice + Olivia dress with BCBG stockings; Prada bag; Dior shoes; jewelry and accessories were laid out the night before. We met Grammy nominee Ruthie Foster and entourage in the hotel lobby to board the shuttle to go to the Staples Center for the Red Carpet before the pre-telecast.
The pre-tel was exciting and Taylor Swift won a few Grammy awards, which she accepted in person. She changed her dress before she went to the telecast Grammy Awards. She is a talented young artist!
The Grammy Awards were amazing! I think Pink and Beyonce excelled in their performances!
From Grammy Awards to After-Grammy party. Kathy Lanser and I keep on rockin’ !
After Party a great experience. Ne-Yo performs for the enthusiastic crowd!
DIOR, Laundry, Juicy: Night before Grammy’s at new Grammy Museum by Staples Center, NOKIA Plaza, LA Live
We attended a VIP Grammy party hosted by the Louisiana Visitor and Convention Bureau at the year-old Grammy Museum by the the Staples Center, NOKIA Plaza, LA Live, etc. It’s a happenin’ area!
From the rooftop terrace at the Grammy Museum
I wore my tried-and-true Laundry dress, Juicy stockings and Dior shoes. It was a perfect dress to wear as it was cool on the rooftop for cocktails.
We were treated to a mini-concert with the Magnolia Sisters followed by Zachary Richard .
During intermission, we toured part of the museum. I could have spent hours there! Visit the Grammy Museum next time you’re in LA!
A few costumes from Michael Jackson’s collection.

A terrific evening!
DVF dress and Stuart Weitzman shoes for Grammy luncheon with Harry
My friend Kathy and I attended a luncheon hosted by the Governor of Louisiana for people in the film and music industry. I should mention I went to the Grammy’s with my good friend (and room mate from years ago) Kathy Lanser, who is an artist management and marketing consultant working with Blind Ambition. It “takes a village” to bring a Grammy nominee to the Grammy Awards and she worked hard on her assignments. Anyway, the luncheon at the Biltmore was exciting with delicious offerings of Louisiana’s finest fare; entertainment by the hot Harry Connick Jr. ; Cedric Watson; and Zydeco music; along with fun, interesting and delightful luncheon companions. An affair to be remembered!
This fuchsia DVF dress is one of my favs, but too low-cut for a luncheon. I added a pink silk shawl, which is also nice to have on hand for air conditioned venues.
INC at Macy’s. Continuing with Grammy weekend in LA.
Saturday afternoon Kathy and I went for a walk to Macy’s, about 7 blocks from the hotel. A street off Grand was blocked off as Justin Timberlake was filming a movie. We saw Justin run down steps and jump into a SUV. He looked good! We thought we’d be funny and take pictures of the paparazzi!
At Macy’s, I ended up purchasing a few items from INC International Concepts. It is hard to resist this line. I’ve said it again and again; INC offers fun style for a very reasonable price! Click on this hyperlink to go to an e-mail I received from Macy’s today regarding INC.
INC, Stuart Weitzman, Anne Klein on Friday night in LA, Grammy weekend
Whew! Fast-paced, exciting weekend in LA! I left off with cutie Kiefer filming ‘24’ outside our hotel upon arrival. We dressed for a Friday night on the town, pretty much ready for anything. Dinner and cocktails at Chateau Marmont provided an exciting mixture of people. I wore a paneled form-fitting black number from I-N-C International Concepts. The dress is a combo of rayon, nylon and spandex. The dress is great because it provides enough give to dance but doesn’t stretch out like some cotton-spandex blends do; keeps you smooth (almost like Spanx); doesn’t wrinkle; feels good to wear. Winter-white Stuart Weitzman pointed toe shoes with 2” heel and Anne Klein shawl, bone color jewelry, completed the look. I believe the shoes, shawl and dress cost me less than $200 (always shopping a good sale) ! We proceeded to a party at a dance club hosted by Grammy nominee Malik Yusef. After dancing a couple of hours,we headed back downtown to the Biltmore for a nightcap. Here’s before and after photos of Friday night. (Note end of evening feet up; love to dance!)
Again, the dress packed well and held up to the evening’s activities. INC rocks! I didn’t have plans to wear the dress again this trip but certainly could have. A pretty print cardigan with flats would have been worked nicely for a casual lunch/evening or afternoon of shopping.
Great start to Grammy weekend: Kiefer Sutherland filming “24” at Biltmore
