My Feb 21st Blog talked about the trends at Saks and I went through the What’s New of the What’s New, What’s Now, What’s Next, Shop the Trends at Saks. The What’s New: all american, was difficult for me to choose my top 4 things I liked as I liked so many. The What’s Now: aggressive angles was difficult in finding 4 things I really liked, so I went on to the jewelry section of aggressive angles. I think these two dresses are GREAT, but the rest of the outfits weren’t styles I would wear or I care for as much.
Rayon/nylon/spandex makes this a Spanx dress! Slim fit so careful when ordering but this should look great on your body!
Love the styling of this dress. I’d be wearing this one all the time!
This cuff would be my only jewelry with an outfit. Definitely a “stand alone” piece! (well maybe with diamond studs)
The delicacy of this bracelet is appealing to me. I’d pair with brushed gold dangling earrings. Note the letters YSL in script!
Sarah Jessica Parker has been named President and Chief Creative Officer of Halston. She’ll have an equity stake in the brand, partly owned by Harvey Weinstein who’s been trying to revive the brand for several years. Sarah had launched a low-priced line, Bitten, in 2007, which was successful until the parent company (Steve & Barry’s) went bankrupt in 2008. I believe Parker’s role in Halston will benefit the brand and we’ll see great things in the near future!

I like to look at what the new contemporary designers are doing. Sometimes the fashion is geared toward a specific age group, which is fine but limiting. Designers may have a target-market age group but if they attract a lot of “fringe” either way, they’re hitting a home run and it’s good business.
akiko Yasuda is quite impressive in my book. Her small apartment T-shirt company to a major contemporary label lends belief to her talent in bringing clothing that impresses a wide range of shoppers. I bet we’ll be seeing a lot more of her work down the road.

I started reading my March 2010 Town & Country Magazine and the very first ad was a show-stopper. It is the bottom picture here of jeans and tank top with a beautiful sequined overlay. The next few pages were featured looks of the Ralph Lauren Collection Spring 2010. Click on this site for the Runway Show to watch the show or watch the highlights; explore the looks. Ralph Lauren is one of my favorite American designers. He seems to reinvent “the classics” with clothing that takes you everywhere. Here’s 7 of the looks that I liked the best. Love you Ralph!!
A friend of mine wears fabulous blouses that look like she just put them on, even at 5:00 pm! She told me they are Brooks Brothers Non-Iron blouses. A real no-iron shirt? She swears by them. Recent shopping on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach brought me to Brooks Brothers and I decided it was time to check it out. The blouses come in various styles and colors. I purchased a fitted non-iron stretch long navy (which I’m wearing with black leggings) and a light lavender blouse. A blouse is so versatile with jackets, cardigans and accessories. You can dress it up or down. I’ll report later how well I think the non-iron works. I’m a fussy dresser and iron just about everything, so this will be the true test! My friend is enthusiastic about them so I’m anxious to try them out.
Interesting map of New York City in Brooks Brothers on Worth Avenue
Worth Avenue is like a dream; beauty all around. The merchandise in the shops is breath-taking and the scenery of the Avenue is gardeners’ artwork.
This is window shoppers eye candy but lunch and shopping are definitely a must!
The purses in Gucci were show stoppers and worth a second look. I found the perfect summer bag!
I had to stop and snap some pictures while at Nordstrom in the International Plaza in Tampa, Florida. It’s been a cool winter in Florida and the colors of the clothing and accessories warmed the mood!
