I was in Boston Store last week; always HAVE to check out Ralph Lauren.  I need a new white skirt and this one is very pretty and summery. Not too full – lined – light.

LOVE this dress.  So versatile – flip flops or dressy sandals. Bohemian look or dress up with accessories.  This dress is a winner! The color, pattern, style…would  be a great dress to pack for a trip.

LAUREN Ralph Lauren has wonderful casual/sport wear. Comfortable, easy to wear and you look put-together….with minimum effort. This is a great travel outfit. Pants and jacket for cold airplanes and you remove the jacket upon reaching warm destinations.  Of course, convenient to  have the outfit with you for lounging or walking!

It was going to be a short trip: grueling two days in Portland, Oregon, of summer job orientation for my son and finding and securing his summer residence. Quick packing for the carry on – cool temps, rain, flight temps.

It wasn’t until the return trip – Red Eye – when the airport was warm and I removed my Ralph Lauren Golf heavier gold arm-band sweater (love it!) to reveal my light-weight Ralph Lauren cotton sweater underneath. My son just chuckled as I went from one Pony to the next. It was then I realized everything I had packed was Ralph Lauren. We just laughed as I pointed to my items of clothing: Ralph, Ralph, Ralph, Ralph. Where’s the photo shoot? Commercial for one of my favorite American designers.

So next time you travel and want to look your best, bring along a friend. Pack it up with Ralph Lauren!

There’s a bit of “hunter and gatherer” in all of us and the outlet malls are just the place to seek out bargains. Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th and Polo Ralph Lauren are three stores I usually have great success. You may not find THE color or TREND of the season, but it’s a good opportunity to try different designers or replace worn-out pieces. Plan on spending time going through the racks…. and I’d suggest trying everything on if making a return would be inconvenient. It’s well worth the time and effort, in fact, make it an outing and include lunch!
