It’s wonderful the great designers are revealing their talent to major retailers like Target. Jean Paul Gaultier introduced a line last weekend. I had to check it out. There are lines that cross several decades and then there are lines that are definitely targeted to a select market. Jean Paul has a market. It is too young for the “moms” but is great for the “daughters.” I bought a dress; cute and thought it would work. The arms were too small and the waist, hips too big. Bust fit well. I was surprised (to be frank) at how it fit. Usually, older women are weight-lifting and the arms need to accommodate athletic (ok yes, and maybe mommy arms!) and the bust fit well but waist and hips were out of sync.  Maybe I’m expecting too much but the Converse line at Target is great for the younger (older) gals. JPG, while intriguing, is for the younger generation. Great clothes for young gals!

Here’s my post from February 19th! I’m going to Target next few days to see the new line. I also have a 10% off coupon from Target VISA. Lucky me! I’ll report back!

Jean Paul Gaultier March 7, 2010!  Knowing how Target operates, there will be apparel that will appeal to a large audience. Moms will be going through the racks with their daughters! This will be a great addition to Target’s mix. They know how to do it!

I can’t say enough about Target. The stores are clean, well organized, great selection and pricing. You can find just about everything you need at Target. As I’ve blogged in the past, keep checking Target for great clothing choices.  Accessories like purses and jewelry are great ways to update an outfit.  Feel “trendy” without spending a lot of money!

It’s a new year and sometimes that brings ideas for change.  If you want to add to your surroundings or replace a piece of furniture, check out Target’s sale. If you’re feeling energetic and moving furniture around, you may find an open space.  The sales at Target are a great way to “change it up.” You can update with a new picture or vase, or bring in a piece from another room in the house. Keep an open mind and try new things in different places. You can change a lot for less!

When you have a good product, you’ll re-introduce it every year in the “colors of the season.” Target has a great v-neck sweater that I buy several of each Fall/Winter season.  It is soft, washes well, and at a great price of $17.99!  Sometimes I ponder, why re-invent the wheel? If there is a basic you need every year at a great price, put it on the shelves and the consumer will buy!  You can dress it up or down.  I have the sweater here with a Burberry scarf and Michael Kors belt. I LOVE this color and heard many compliments. I’ll wear it out this season and I’ll be back at Target next year to buy the sweater in new Fall/Winter colors! 

So, if you haven’t noticed, this is my Target week!  I’ve been to Target all over the country and it’s a great store and fills so many needs. Look at these purses! I’m a purse gal and you can usually find a great purse for a great price at Target.

For the holidays, you can showcase the “dress” or the “accessories.” Target has fun dresses that are a great basic to showcase your favorite pair of shoes, purse or jewelry. I love these options for the holiday month when you don’t want to spend a bundle for every party. Check these out gals; you won’t be disappointed!

Target is bringing great design in women’s and “young” womens clothing. Converse One*Star is a brand I look through every time I visit the store. Sometimes the “fit” is for the younger figure (go up a size), but I always find pieces to add to my wardrobe. One thing I like about the brand is the detail they add to the clothing.  A button here; a flap there; just a little something to bring it fashion-forward at a great price !  

What’s there not to like about Target?  I can buy clothes, hardware, bedding, makeup, electronics, food, all in one place at a good price! Their Fall “Trendy Not Spendy” and “Baubles and Bargains” sums it up. Whether you’re wearing diamonds or rhinestones, you can add to your outfit at Target!

Check out Jean Paul Gaultier’s 2010 Cruise Line at Nordstrom.com. While Jean Paul will create fun styles for the edgier consumer,  the cruise collection also  showcases the classic animal prints and easy lines the more “conservative” gals will love and wear with confidence and flair. The colors are vivid with beautiful prints.  This line is fabulous and there’s something for everyone!

Rumor has it, Jean Paul Gaultier will be designing for one of my favorite fun stores that I check out whenever possible, Target!  The designers are realizing that “fashion” does not have to come with a hefty price tag. Look for my future article on how we can all be “in style,” no matter what our fashion budget!
